Roller Derby will help you stay fit and build confidence!

About Us

Our mission is to foster acceptance and equal access for all girls to the sport of derby. We believe that every girl should be free to develop her determination, her perseverance, her athleticism, and her strategic understanding of the game in a positive, encouraging atmosphere. We work hard and have a tightly knit team where older and younger girls work together, each bettering their own skills while helping each other. We also always welcome boys to join us to become the referees of the future!

Here is what the Women's Flat Track Association has to say.

Here is a video that the Hammer City Rollergirls made explaining the grown up version of roller derby which includes hits. In Junior Roller derby there are different levels of contact with the least amount being none at all. Have no fear! If you don't want to be hit, you don't have to be. Just come out and skate, skate, skate!

Our Programme

Our instructors are experienced, fun to work with, and completely professional. We work very hard to ensure that all of our participants are learning and working hard while still having a good time. We strive to teach sportsmanship and perseverance within the sisterhood of derby. This is an environment where there are no apologies needed for who you are because once you are on the track we are all the same, derby girls doing our part for our team. We work under the rules and regulations as they have been set out by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.

We have exhibition games held at Memorial Arena in Alliston where we get to skate before the Renegade Derby Dames in some of their tournaments. We also make efforts to have games with the other Junior teams in the surrounding areas so that the girls can get as much exposure and experience as possible.
